Nestled on 18.5 acres in Battle Creek, Michigan, Heritage Homestead began as a working farmstead in 1839.
Rich in HeritageNearly two centuries later, this remarkable property is finding new life through a thoughtful restoration that celebrates its history while creating a beautiful place for people to gather, stay, dine, and connect.
When we discovered the property, it had fallen into foreclosure. Where others might have seen years of work ahead, we saw extraordinary potential: historic buildings, beautiful grounds, and the opportunity to create something truly meaningful for our community.
Today, we’re lovingly bringing the Homestead back to life, one thoughtful detail at a time.

Heritage Homestead is the newest chapter in a collection of historic properties brought to life by founder Jenn Ederer and the team behind Greencrest Manor and The Millhaven.
With more than two decades of experience in weddings, events, floral design, and hospitality, our passion has always been rooted in creating beautiful spaces and meaningful experiences that bring people together.
At Greencrest Manor, our beloved 1935 French Normandy estate, we’ve had the privilege of welcoming guests from near and far for extraordinary celebrations and intimate gatherings. At The Millhaven, a beautifully reimagined historic property in downtown Marshall, we’ve continued that tradition, honoring the character of the past while creating spaces for new memories.
Each property has its own personality, its own history, and its own sense of place. What connects them is a shared philosophy: exceptional hospitality, thoughtful design, and the belief that gathering together should always feel special.
